FOR TEAM VELOETOILE: Shot 63~68 Rough Block Pass

Rig hasn't been fully rigged yet so no facial expression, there will also be a blanket covered over the rig as well in the near future.
I have the stepped version of these shots as well but decided to only upload them in spline - these are roughs and are mostly to work out the timing although I'm a bit dubious about shot 66's timing... Nevertheless, I've sent it to the director - Alison - to see what she thinks.

FOR TEAM COLOURLESS: SHOT 20 BLOCK PASS Version01

Keyed in shot 20, I ended up inbetweening at the end... but I've sent it to the inbetweener with charts for a few inbetweens at the beginning

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Rough Shot 22 Version 04

With Charlotte's suggestion, I moved Helens face slightly near the end. I will add in hair and bag movement when I animate the proper shot

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Layout Shot 26 Version 01

Posting the layout of the animation for now, it's 33 frames.

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Rough Shot 25 Version 01

without the bus
A rough of Shot 25, the bus was designed by Jen. I realised I haven't animated a walk (straight-on) in 2D before. After the taking the bus away, I feel like I might have exaggerated Helen's hips a bit too much.

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Rough Shot 22 Version 03

Altered Edith's head movement, so her eyes follow the bag. I wanted her to watch the bag go down as well but it looked too jolty.

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Rough Shot 22 Version 02

Charlotte suggested making Helen pull the bag up so that it draws attention to it, I'm also thinking of making Edith's eyes solely fixated on the bag (following it go up and down) and then look up to Helen - which leads into the next shot (shot 23).

Helen's movements are only blocked at the moment, after filming reference I found that I had to tone down her movements compared to how I acted it out which involved a bigger pose but felt unnatural for her.

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Rough Shot 22 Version 01

I wanted Edith to have a slower realisation when she tilts her head at first and then it's a quicker "huh?". I also wanted Helen to be doing something but ,of course, not to take the attention away from Edith.

FOR TEAM OLD LADY: Mall Backgrounds [REVISED]

From Emma (director)'s request, I have made the pillars darker and added brick texture so it blends in better with the other backgrounds. We've realised that BG 40 and 42 are the same backgrounds so I'm just going to leave BG 42 out.

FOR TEAM COLOURLESS: [REVISED] SHOT 15 BLOCK PASS

I've been showing Sara (the director) my animation of Bianca and she's been responding with a lot of helpful tips on specific details on Bianca. From Sara's advice, I've altered Bianca's eyes and nose.

FOR TEAM VELO ETOILE: UV mapping the living room

Living room in Maya modelled by Brooke Hayes
UV-mapped by me (Wai-Han Lau)
Second time UV-mapping a whole scene for the team, I've learnt a lot more tricks for UV mapping this time around so it was quicker! These included ctrl-right click to move shells in UV and transfer attributes for copying UV maps onto an identical object - this was especially helpful as the christmas tree had several duplicated decorations

FOR TEAM COLOURLESS: SHOT 15 BLOCK PASS

I've keyed shot 15 and have drawn charts for the inbetweener. It's the first time I've had a go at doing charts, so I'm hoping that it's understandable.
Also, I did Shot 14 a while a go but forgot to upload it. The shot is just a still image of the teddy bear but at least it's something!

FOR TEAM COLOURLESS: Version 02 of the Book prop

I redrew this so the pages looked more like a book and removed the unnecessary writing,
to make the "titles" more readable and clear

FOR TEAM VELOETOILE: Storyboard Sequence 03 redo

New version of Sequence 03, there was only a few panels added but I decided to move scenes in order - this is the complete set of panels for sequence 03. The new panels (Scene 02 to 08) were added by Alison, the director, in roughs and I drew/ cleaned them up.
